ACU-THIN™CUT-OFF BLADES BUEHLER® ACU-THIN™ Cut-off Blades have been specially developed to improve material sectioning. These blades give the user a versatile cuttingoption that proves effective over a variety of speci-men types.
A key feature of ACU-THIN Cut-off Blades is theirability to reduce kerf loss. Due to the thin designof these blades, surface contact is minimized,resulting in less heat generation and easier cut-ting during the sectioning process.
An additional benefit of the ACU-THIN Cut-offBlade design is that less pressure is needed forproper sectioning. This requirement for less pres-sure reduces the chances of burning the speci-men or altering its inherent structure. In turn,quality, cost-effective sectioning is achieved witha reduction of sub-surface damage to specimens.
ACU-THIN Cut-off Blades have been speciallydesigned to cut a multitude of materials of vary-ing hardness levels. There are two blades for eachdiameter size, one for specimens of HRC 45 andabove, and another for specimens with hardnesslevels below HRC 45. When cutting specimensof varying hardness, the user does not have tochange the blades as frequently and can conve-niently cut his specimens with ease.
ACU-THIN Cut-off Blades offer a new cuttingtechnology that can be utilized for sectioning aspectrum of specimen types. Their efficientdesign makes them ideal for material sectioningin production applications as well as standardlaboratory use.

ACU-THIN™ Abrasive Blades * R = Rubber RR = Resin Rubber ISOCUT® Fluid and ISOCUT® PLUS Fluid are the two recommended cutting solutions for all precision sectioning saws. ISOCUT Fluid is an oil-based coolant which can reduce cutting times significantly on many types of materials. ISOCUT PLUS Fluid was developed for use on high speed, higher load saws like the ISOMET™ 2000. This fluid is water- based and should be used on any saw sectioning samples which partly consist of a water soluble phase.
